Update on CoinFabrik’s Lawsuit Against Borderless Capital and Others

In 2018, CoinFabrik had the unique opportunity to invest in, build, and grow the Algorand ecosystem, originally devised by our esteemed Silvio Micali, a Gödel Prize and Turing Award Laureate. CoinFabrik had been working on hundreds of projects around the world, including direct work with well known decentralized technologies.

As disputes emerged that could not be resolved amicably, in June 2021, my legal team at PAG Law initiated a lawsuit against Borderless Capital, Rand Labs, David Garcia, Pablo Yabo, and others in Lake County, Florida. We amended the complaint in early 2023 and it is available here.
The progress of the lawsuit to date can be viewed publicly here.

The complaint includes the following claims:

  • Misappropriation of Trade Secrets under Florida Chapter 688
  • Aiding and Abetting Misappropriation of Trade Secrets
  • Breach of Fiduciary Duty
  • Aiding and Abetting Breach of Fiduciary Duty
  • Conversion
  • Aiding and Abetting Conversion
  • Civil Theft
  • Aiding and Abetting Civil Theft
  • Unjust Enrichment
  • Civil Conspiracy
  • Fraudulent Inducement
